THERE IS A MUCH BETTER MOVIE WITH THE SAME THEME THAT WAS MADE A WHILE BACK.

Comparison Both were raised by a young girl early in their life. Both are separated from their owners. Both movies revolve around a parrot trying to reunite with their owners Both have trouble with flying. (Paulie doesn’t revolve the entire story around this though) Both are sent to a lab of some kind. (Albeit much different reasons.)
Contrast Paulie has the ability to speak perfect english. (The story behind how he can is somewhat realistic, it also further strengthens the bond between him and his owner.) Paulie is sassy as hell. Paulie is more serious. (AND HAS THE SADDEST OFFSCREEN DEATH EVER) Paulie has a believable personality that is shaped by his experiences.
