About UsSeasons lodge is a family built, and family run, hotel, opened in 2011 by the Clarkes, an Irish-Ugandan family, based in Zanzibar, Uganda and Ireland.It is situated in Pongwe on the east coast of Zanzibar. It is just under one hour’s drive from the airport and from Stonetown – on a tarmac road.Much of the mortar we used to piece it all together is a kind of limestone (or ‘chokaa’ in Kiswahili), a local material, and a more eco-friendly option than cement.
