EEG Data Validation!
Megan Williams
Karamvir Singh

Matthew Zarb

Our Customer
Researcher in Psychology Department at UT
Gathers experimental data from infants
Analyzes this data to determine brain patterns and draw conclusions

Why This Research is Important
Helps establish brain activity patterns for people with different brain defects: seizures, mental illnesses, etc.
This can further assist researchers in exploring treatments for these brain defects.
These pattern recognitions can help in the field of artificial intelligence i.e. brain mapping and different connections throughout the brain.

Why Our Project is Useful
As of now graduate students are analyzing this EEG data by hand.
THIS TAKES A LOT OF TIME!
THIS IS ALSO INCONSISTANT!

Specifications
Inputs to program should be able to use the data format provided by the lab
Program should determine whether a series of data channels are good, bad, or needs further review
- Filter specs can be changed by user
- Specs based on voltage change over a given time period
Final output of data needs to be organized so that each channel is separate from the others

Improvements
Make program an executable
Make a summary of the number or channels that failed/ need review
Possibly display the failed signal waveform when prompted by user
Clean up Graphical User Interface
