Percentage
A number divided by 100.
It is the number of parts out of 100 of something.

Percentage
For example, a quarter (25 cents) is 25 percent of a dollar (100 cents).

A quarter = 25 cents

A dollar = 100 cents

The fraction 25/100 is 25 percent, sometimes written as 25%
