EVANGELISM. If this video moves too fast, press pause and continue at your own pace. This video is to reach people who need an idea on how to present the Apostolic Pentecostal Gospel that the disciples of Jesus taught and to give understanding to all those who have never been born again, but need and want to know how to yield themselves to God to be filled with His Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Please view my other videos that are on these sites: YOUTUBE, FACEBOOK, VIMEO, PINTEREST, POWERSHOW.COM, SLIDESERVE.COM, SLIDEONLINE.COM. Icons of my videos on YouTube are shown on the last page of this presentation. My channel or user name is: apostolictruth7. The videos contain a lot of scriptures explaining in more debt what it means to be born again of the water and of the Spirit (which is baptism in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin and being filled with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Read Acts 2:38). Read the whole book of Acts to see for yourself how the disciples baptized people and in whose name the disciples baptized people in. (The name is Jesus). And what happened when people were filled with the Holy Ghost. They spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave them the utterance, AND THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING TODAY TO THOSE WHO ARE FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST. Some of the slides in my videos are similar or duplicates in order that everyone seeking truth about being born again will not miss out on hearing the true salvation message, which is the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. As you may already know, God gave his only Son to die on the cross for our sins. Such love is hard to comprehend, but it is true. And He wants us to live with Him for all eternity. But, if we are not filled with His Spirit, look at what the following scriptures says: “Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” If you would like to know what church you can attend that teaches this message, please go to this link: http://apostolicpentecostalchurches.o... It gives a list of many Apostolic Pentecostal churches inside and outside the United States. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ALL CHURCHES ARE NOT THE SAME, THEREFORE, I AM ADDING THIS WARNING: I am not familiar with all of the churches on the list, so make sure you compare what the church is teaching to what the disciples in the Bible taught about salvation, repentance, baptism, being filled with the Holy Ghost, and holiness. If they teach handling snakes, eating grass or drinking poison or other foolish or unwise things, or tell you it is okay to live ungodly lives that God has said is an abomination, do not be a part of that church.

Acts 2:1-4 “… when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”THE HOLY GHOST SINCE YOU BELIEVED?HAVE YOU RECEIVEDPrepared by apostolictruth7, Background instrumental music by Victor Murray

The reason my presentations are taught and uploaded on the internet is because ... no matter how great our church programs are, no matter how many people attend our churches, no matter how great the choir and praise teams sound, no matter how wonderful and exciting the preaching is, no matter how uplifting the fellowship is, etc, … if we are not encouraging people to believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Savior, by explaining to them how to be born again of the water and of the Spirit, we are cheating them out of making a decision to give their lives to Jesus Christ … we are cheating them out of the opportunity of having eternal life. apostolictruth7

Why does God need to draw us to salvation? Simply put, if He didn’t, we would never come. Jesus explains that no man can come unless the Father draws him. The natural man has no ability to come to God, nor does he even have the desire to come. Because his heart is hard and his mind is darkened, the unregenerate (not born again of the Spirit) person doesn’t desire God and is actually an enemy of God. When Jesus says that no man can come without God’s drawing him, He is making a statement about the total wickedness present in all places and at all times of the sinner. So darkened is the unsaved person’s heart that he doesn’t even realize it. Jeremiah 17:9 says: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Therefore, it is only by the merciful and gracious drawing of God that we are saved. In the conversion of the sinner, God enlightens the mind (and) inclines the will (of man) towards Himself, and influences the soul, without which influence the soul remains darkened and rebellious against God. All of this is involved in the drawing process.- wwcconline.org/got-questions/does-god-draw-us-to-salvationJohn 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. WHAT AN AWESOME BLESSING IT IS THAT GOD DRAWS US TO BE HIS SON (and daughter)!3

1 Corinthians 15:54-57 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 41 Corinthians 15:50-53 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 5

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 6WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM; FOR WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE IS

Luke 21:27-36 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my Words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 7

First of all, let me warn you ahead of time, that there are many people (such as Elymas Barjesus, the sorcerer in Acts 13:8. See next slide) who will purposely do whatever they can to keep you from hearing the true Word of God that the disciples of Jesus preached. In this presentation, I will show you scriptures in the Word of God that will enable you to recognize when someone has changed the Word of God to fit their own doctrine. 8ISN’T THE RAPTURE EXCITING NEWS? YOU, TOO, CAN BE READY TO GO BACK WITH JESUS WHEN HE COMES FOR HIS CHURCH.

Acts 13:6-12 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the Word of God. But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, (who also is called Paul) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.9GOD’S JUDGMENT FELL ON ELYMAS BARJESUS THE SORCERER, FOR TRYING TO STOP SERGIUS PAULUS FROM HEARING THE WORD OF GOD. GOD WANTS ALL PEOPLE TO HEAR ABOUT THE GOSPEL OF HIS SON, FOR IT IS THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION. THOSE WHO HINDER PEOPLE FROM HEARING THE GOSPEL ARE IN DANGER OF THE JUDGMENT OF GOD.

Matthew 7:15 (KJV)Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.10

11Well, what is wrong with repeating the sinner’s prayer? There are many variations of the sinner’s prayer, but did you know that the sinner’s prayer is not in the Bible and it never has been? There is more to salvation than repeating words that someone tell you to say. So, don’t listen to people who tell you to repeat the sinner’s prayer and you will be saved. LOOK ON THE INTERNET, AND YOU WILL DISCOVER THAT THERE ARE MANY VARIATIONS OF THE SINNERS PRAYER

THE SINNERS PRAYER CANNOT SAVE ANYONE!God gave His Son to die on the cross for our sins. Only the blood of Jesus and the grace and mercy of God saves us, not the sinners prayer. The sinners prayer can be used as a step towards opening our hearts to God, but asking for forgiveness and asking Jesus to come into your heart is only the beginning step. What is missing from the sinners prayer? Nothing is said about baptism or the Holy Ghost. You must not only repent of your sins, you must be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of your sins and you must be filled with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues!12THE DANGER OF THE SINNER’S PRAYERhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQvaM6Kej8g&list=PLK_ltTvE8ABuzRWBFG9PTQI9mCl9TdCEmGO TO THIS LINK TO WATCH A VIDEO REGARDING THE DANGERS OF BELIEVING IN THE SINNERS PRAYER

13What? You mean we’ve been lied to about that, too?And are you aware that ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVEDis not in the Bible, either?

Just as satan lied to Eve, he is still lying to people today by telling them they don’t have to obey God and that they won’t die if they disobey God. Those lying words of satan caused sin to enter the world and caused Adam and Eve to be kicked out of the garden of Eden. satan hates God and humanity, and doesn’t want us to obey God so that one day we can live in God’s beautiful heaven, that satan was cast out of.14HAVE YOU EVER HEARD SOMEONE SAY “Once saved always saved no matter what you do!”(It is also called eternal security). It is not true, so don’t believe or be deceived by that lie … eternal security is not in the Bible.ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED TIMEBOMBhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZBuVERFT9c&index=2&list=PLK_ltTvE8ABuzRWBFG9PTQI9mCl9TdCEmGO TO THIS LINK TO WATCH A VIDEO REGARDING THE DANGERS OF BELIEVING IN ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED.

 Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;  Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. DON’T BELIEVE EVERYONE WHO TELLS YOU THEY ARE OF JESUS CHRIST. IF THEY ARE OF JESUS CHRIST, THEY WILL BELIEVE AND PREACH THE SAME GOSPEL THAT HIS DISCIPLES PREACHED. SATAN USES FALSE PROPHETS, PREACHERS, AND TEACHERS, ETC., TO STOP PEOPLE FROM HEARING THE TRUE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST (EVEN THOSE WHO ONCE PREACHED THE TRUE GOSPEL ARE SOMETIMES DECEIVED) .15

PEOPLE WHO SAY ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED, MAY BE SINCERE, BUT THEY ARE SINCERELY WRONG. SHALL WE CONTINUE LIVING IN SIN AFTER JESUS HAS MADE US FREE FROM SIN? GOD FORBID. Romans 6:1-4 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 16

Romans 8:13-17 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. NOTICE THAT THE SCRIPTURES BELOW DO NOT SAY YOU CAN CONTINUE LIVING ANY WAY YOU WANT TO, EVEN LIVE IN SIN, BECAUSE ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED.17

1 John 1:3-10 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM, AND WALK IN DARKNESS, WE LIE, AND DO NOT THE TRUTH18

BE NOT DECEIVED, GOD IS NOT MOCKED!Galatians 6:7-9 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 1 Corinthians 3:16-18 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19

1 JOHN 3:6 WHOSOEVER ABIDETH IN HIM SINNETH NOT: WHOSOEVER SINNETH HATH NOT SEEN HIM, NEITHER KNOWN HIM. Notice that the scripture says “whosoever abideth in him sinneth not”. But, if we do not abide in him, we do sin … and we are liars if we say we have not sinned.20

DID YOU KNOW THAT DESPITE WHAT SOME PEOPLE MAY THINK, GOD TAKES NO PLEASURE IN THE DEATH OF THE WICKED. GOD DOES NOT SEND ANYONE TO HELL. Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? 21

BEING SINCERELY WRONG DOES NOT MAKE A PERSON RIGHT!People may be sincere when they tell you that after you have said the sinner’s prayer, you are now born again and filled with God’s Spirit and are now in the family of God. They are sincerely wrong, and sincerely wrong does not make them right.FOR EXAMPLE: Paul, before his conversion and faith in Jesus Christ, was sincerely wrong by thinking his tormenting the Christians was the will of God. Jesus had to get his attention to let him know that it was he (Jesus) that he was fighting against. 22

Acts 9:1-9 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. (Webster dictionary: prick: To affect with sharp pain; to sting with remorse.) And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink. Did you notice that Jesus did not tell Saul what to do? Jesus still uses people to tell others about Him, and to tell the true gospel about how to be born again, as the disciples told it.SAUL (PAUL) BEFORE HIS CONVERSION, WAS SINCERELY WRONG!23

Acts 9:10 -18 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. SAUL (PAUL) BEFORE HIS CONVERSION, WAS SINCERELY WRONG!24

Some people may try to remember all the sins they have committed, but there is no way you could possibly remember them all. Since God knows everything, even all of the sins you have committed, all you have to do is repent, asking Him to forgive you of your sins, and He will. 1 JOHN 1:9  IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS, AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. 25

WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO REPENT OF YOUR SINS? SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD!26

THE HOLY GHOST IS FOR EVERYONE.In Acts 2:37, this is what some men asked Peter: “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?” In Acts 2:38-39, this is what Peter answered them: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call”.Luke 11:13 “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”THOSE WHO BELIEVE ARE FILLED!27

Some may ask, “Why do I have to be filled with the Holy Ghost … isn’t believing in Jesus good enough?”There is more to believing then simply saying you believe. If you truly believe, you will obey the Word of God.Romans, chapter 8, verses 9 through 11 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. You must be filled with the Spirit or Christ, because if you are not, Romans 8:9 says you don’t belong to Jesus.28

THESE SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW THEM THAT BELIEVESome people read Mark 16:18 mistakenly think that by picking up snakes and drinking poison, it will prove they have faith in God. Please do not be deceived into believing this foolishness. Many people have died by doing so. Mark 16:18 does not mean pick up snakes, or drink poison in order to prove your faith in God.What does the Bible say about testing God? Deuteronomy 6:16 “You shall not put the Lord your God to the test, as you tested him at Massah. 1 Corinthians 10:9 We should not test Christ, as some of them did and were killed by snakes.Mark chapter 16, verses 15 through 18 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 29

Hallelujah! Thank You Jesus! These are some praises some people say as they pray to receive the Holy Spirit. They are not useless words to say, they are true words of worship, if your heart is into what you are saying.30After you have repented of your sins, thank God for forgiving you of your sins, and begin praising and worshipping Him in your own words. Use whatever praises you feel comfortable saying. Just be sincere in what you say. Something wonderful is about to happen to you. God is going to fill you with His Holy Spirit.

Speak out loud as you praise the Lord. By that we mean use your voice to praise the Lord, instead of whispering or speaking in silence. It allows the Holy Spirit to use your voice, as He gives the utterance, and as a result, it helps prove to you that God has filled you with the Holy Ghost. So, open your mouth and begin praising the Lord out loud. 31

Just have faith in God and believe Him to fill you with His Spirit and He will … He promised He would give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks for it.Speak out loud whatever sounds are beginning to form in your mouth. As you continue to praise God, He will soon change those sounds into a clear language.32

Speaking out loud does not mean you have to scream. It simply means use your voice so that you will know that God has filled you with His Spirit, which is His Seal showing He now owns you. No other religion has this Seal, which gives Witness and Proof that a person has been filled with the Holy Ghost. God does not leave His children in doubt or cause them to have to wonder: Did God really fill me with the Holy Spirit? They know they have been filled with God’s Spirit, because they hear themselves speaking in tongues, as the Spirit gives them the utterance.2 Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 33

Enjoy worshipping such a loving God. As you praise and worship Him, your faith will grow stronger. I remind you again that God promised that if anyone asked Him for the Holy Spirit, He will give it to them, for God keeps His promises. 34The gift of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God to you. You do not have to beg Him for it. Just keep praising Him … it’s going to happen!

Usually, after praising and worshipping the Lord for a while in your own known language, your tongue and lips will start moving very quickly, and it will become harder for you to continue speaking clearly in your known language. That’s called stammering lips!35

Just continue worshiping and praising the Lord, because that sound means that God is beginning to fill you with the Holy Ghost.Your tongue, lip, and mouth may feel funny to you, and it may seem as if they are going a hundred miles an hour, and the words coming out of your mouth might not make sense to you. The expectation of being filled with God’s Spirit is amazing and exciting at the same time. So relax and enjoy your time with your Saviour. Soon, you will begin speaking in tongues as clearly as you speak in your known language.36

Many times, people feel God’s presence all around them and over them, but that does not mean God has filled them with His Holy Spirit, yet. 37

Some people think when their lips are stammering, they have been filled with the Holy Ghost. They are wrong! Stammering is something that usually happens just before the words the Holy Ghost is giving you to speak turns into a clear language. When stammering begins, yield yourself to God’s Spirit by allowing the words to change. If you were praising the Lord in your known language, and the Holy Spirit begins to form words in your mouth, don’t try to continue speaking in your known language. Just allow the Holy Spirit to change your words into the words He wants you to speak. (Those praying with you will help you understand what that means)38

Some people think God has filled them with His Spirit because they feel good, feel happy, or cry. You must not depend on feelings. When you receive the Holy Ghost, you will hear yourself speak in tongues.39

CLOSING YOUR EYES MAY HELP YOU STAY FOCUSED ON THE LORD AS YOU PRAY. Some people are more easily distracted than others, that is why many times people are encouraged to close their eyes while praying to receive the Holy Spirit. And some people are more emotional then others, so you may hear some people speaking VERYloudly as they worship the Lord. Try to not let that distract you, just continue focusing on the Lord as you praise and worship Him. If you stay focused on the Lord, you will be surprised how quickly you will lose focus on the person who is a bit loud and very emotional in their worship. 40

ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, PRAY IN TONGUES OFTEN … DAILY IS EVEN BETTER!41Some people don’t pray in the Holy Ghost (speak in tongues) for long periods of time. It causes some to lose faith and it becomes difficult for them to believe and begin speaking in tongues again, at least not without a lot of effort to build up their faith to do so, again. Some think because they can’t speak in tongues again, they have lost the Holy Ghost, and leave the church. Jesus said He would never leave us, and the Bible tells us to stir up the gift that is in us. Believe it or not, you can speak in tongues again, for it is the Spirit that speaks through you. Just begin sincerely praising the Lord with all your heart and believe it is going to happen and it will. Your faith is just a little low, so in order to not go through the difficult struggle of trying to speak in tongues again, don’t wait for a long time to speak in tongues; pray in the Holy Ghost (speak in tongues) often, even daily.

I thank the Lord for all of you who are here to pray for God to fill you with the Holy Spirit. God knows your heart, and if you trust and believe Him, He is going to fill you with His Spirit, as He promised He would. Some of you may have been filled with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, but have not been baptized in the name of Jesus, yet. And some of you may have been baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins, but have not been filled with the Holy Ghost yet. It is very important that you get baptized in the name of Jesus, because it is for the remission of your sins, and that you be filled with the Holy Spirit, because if you are not filled with the Spirit of Christ, you are none of his. Some of you may have stammering lips, but not spoke in tongues. That can change today, if you allow us to pray with you until you get a breakthrough.42

ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE WE BEGAN PRAYING WITH YOU? All of you who are going to pray, please come to the front. We will be using the front pews to pray with those seeking to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Before we begin, let’s pray and ask God to forgive you of all your sins and to please take away any shyness you may have and to give you courage to seek Him with your whole heart.Never forget how Jesus allowed Himself to be beaten, spit upon, had His hair pulled from His beard; had a crown of thorns placed on His head; had nails hammered in his hands and feet and then hung on the cross for us. He could have killed everyone of those people who were doing those cruel things to Him, but instead, He asked His Father to not put it to their charge because they did not know what they were doing (isn’t that a wonderful Savior? … thinking of humanity even while He was suffering … His love is so wonderful, it cannot be explained in human language). Jesus stayed on that cross to die for our sins because He and His Father loves us so much. Jesus was determined to stay on that cross no matter the awful suffering He went through. Jesus endured all that hatred and shame just for us (and also for those who crucified Him. My goodness, His love is so unexplainable. He loves everyone … even those who hate Him). By dying on the cross for our sins, Jesus did the most He could do for us … the least we can do is demonstrate to Jesus that we are not ashamed to pray, asking Him to fill us with His precious Spirit. 43

WHY GET BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS (Handout)Luke 24:47 And that REPENTANCE AND REMISSION OF SINS should be preached IN HIS NAME among all nations, BEGINNING AT JERUSALEM. (Notice, that is exactly what the disciples did, beginning at Jerusalem in Acts 2:38) Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, and YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that THROUGH HIS NAME whosoever believeth in him shall receive REMISSION OF SINS. Acts 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? (Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.) Acts 10:48 And he COMMANDED THEM TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days. Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: FOR THERE IS NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, DO ALL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. 44

END OF POWERPOINT PRESENTATION!45

Acts 2:1-4 “… when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
