Overview2In July 2017, BAE Systems Military Air and Information will be hosting two residential Engineering Taster Weeks. This great opportunity is aimed at 16 - 18 year olds, interested in studying a STEM subject at university, or planning to apply for an apprenticeship programme. The weeks will be held at Warton Aerodrome in Lancashire, home to the Eurofighter Typhoon final assembly. The Taster Weeks will challenge and engage students through a realistic engineering based project, site tours and product demonstrations.Accommodation and food costs are covered by BAE Systems. Students are only required to get themselves to and from Warton at the start and end of the week.

Activities3There will be opportunities to tour some of our most advanced facilities and discuss the varied work we do with BAE Systems employees. In the evenings, more informal activities will take place including sports and team building activities. The challenging group project will be based around creating a bid package for a fictional country.
